Solea® All-Tissue Laser

Solea is the first FDA-cleared CO₂ dental laser to treat both soft tissue (gums and skin) and hard tissue (teeth). This amazingly versatile technology has completely revolutionized how we do dentistry, and enabled us to expand the ways we can help our patients while significantly decreasing discomfort and dental anxiety.

Here are a few ways Solea can change how you think about visiting the dentist:

• Drill-free fillings. We can now treat most cavities without using the dental drill. Laser cavity treatments are faster, more comfortable, and more conservative, while eliminating many of the sounds and smells that can trigger dental anxiety.
• No need for needles in  many cases! Because the laser does not create friction or heat that cause tooth pain, we can frequently complete treatments without the need for numbing injections.

• No scalpels or stitches for gum treatments or tongue-tie surgery. The laser seals soft tissue as it works, minimizing bleeding and significantly decreasing discomfort and infection risk while speeding up the healing process.

• Digital X-rays. From cavities to periodontal disease and surgical planning, X-rays are integral to good dental care. Digital X-rays are faster and more accurate than traditional film X-rays and use significantly less radiation.

• 3D CBCT Scanner. In addition to the X-rays you’re probably used to seeing, we can now create 3D digital scans of the head and neck. These scans allow us to create precision measurements for efficient and predictable dental implant surgeries and tooth extractions. We can also use the scanner to measure your airway, see problems in the jaw joints, and plan root canal treatments.

• 3D Intraoral Scanner. In the past, making a model of your teeth and gums meant biting into uncomfortable trays of goop. Fortunately, modern technology allows us to create a precision digital replica of your teeth and gums using a specialized camera! These models are not just more comfortable, they’re also more accurate and versatile.
