What to Expect

If teeth whitening is right for you, skip the over-the-counter, one-size-fits-all bleaching methods, which can harm gums and teeth. This includes, teeth whitening strips, whitening toothpaste, whitening gel, etc. Instead, sit down with your dentist for the safest, best possible results. The whitening process is easy, It starts with taking impressions of your teeth so that we can make custom whitening trays. The better the fit, the less whitening agent is needed to get good results, and the more even your whitening will be. These can be done for all your teeth at once, or just your upper or lower teeth if needed.

Then, we provide a dental bleaching agent that goes in the trays and will gradually brighten and whiten teeth over the course of two weeks. It’s recommended that you wear the trays each night for about three or four hours during those two weeks, to get the best results. Typically, using the whitening tray is easy to add to your daily routine, and the trays are also clear so that they are less obtrusive.

The bleaching agent removes stains slowly from your teeth over time, and patients often can see a difference after only a few days. Once you reach your desired level of brightness, follow-up treatments can be done occasionally to keep your teeth as white as you want them.

Dr. Anthony Grados and Dr. Karimeh Shehadeh are a husband and wife team dedicated to making Sebastopol smile. After Dr. Grados completed dental school at NYU and Dr. Shehadeh completed dental school at University of the Pacific, the two met during residency in Brooklyn and married a few years later.

After moving back to California, the two fell in love with Sebastopol and purchased their dental practice. As new Sebastopol residents, they're looking forward to enjoying the area's relaxed pace of life, providing great dental care and forming long-lasting relationships with their patients as they become part of the community.
